Welcome to the 2012 garden fountain season

The days are getting longer and the weather is improving in fits and starts. Its time to roll up those sleaves and get started on your garden.

Our classic and contemporary garden fountain and water feature designs are ready, thanks go out to all our customers who have already ordered this year, its always nice to get the season off to a good start.

We are still working on a few new additions to the range for this year and we have improved some design features on our existing models. Detailes of new water feature designs will be posted here as usual when photography is complete.

We understand the importance of value for money in the current financial climate and so are pleased to anounce that for all our fountains and water features prices will be held at last years levels for the forseable future. The main pressure is from the cost of fuel and the associated increase in prices charged by our carriers, if this cost increases into 2012 we may have to compensate with a small rise on some of the smaller water feature designs, this will apply to both UK and International deliveries.
We still offer free delivery to all mainland uk locations including all parts of Scotland and will continue to do so.

Water features and fountains the season draws to a close

Once again the nights draw in and the tempreture drops. This is the time to start to consider cleaning your fountain or water feature and preparing for the winter.

Start by draining your water feature, this can usually be done by undoing the cable gland in the main bowl. Once drained clean out any leaves and debri that has accumulated in the bottom and access your water pump, details on cleaning your pump can be found here care of garden fountains and water features

If you still want to run your water feature then refill with clean water. This means you are well prepared for the freezing tempretures when they arrive your fountain will just need draining when the time comes. If your finished with it for the year consider covering it to protect it from refilling with rain water or snow both of which can freeze and may cause damage to the pump and bowls as the ice expands.
If you don't want to cover it make sure the cable gland is left open to allow water to drain through.

If you leave cleaning until the last minute it probably won't happen when its colder, the result will be a stagnant smelly mess to clear up in the spring. Leaving the pump full of sediment and old leaves will give you problems in the spring as the grime will probably harden over the winter effectivly jamming the rotor bearing, in severe cases this will require a new pump.

So try and make the time now to clean your water feature

We are always keen to present the best prices we can for our fountains and water features. Every year we revue our prices against efficiency and capacity improvements in our manufacturing processes.

Two of our most popular garden fountains are being reduced this year as we have increased our capacity to produce these designs, to put it simply we can now make them for less while still retaining the kinsman quality. We are passing some of this saving on to you.

The Accanthus 2 tier garden fountain has been radically reduced from £250 down to £179 for this very popular fountain design.

The petal 2 tier fountain has also been reduced from £280 down to £260, a small saving but in these difficult times every little helps.

We will continue to offer you the best prices we can and will post updates as we can.
Thank you

Pressure on garden fountain prices in the current financial climate

We are always working to give you the best prices we can on all our garden fountains and water features.
The increase in vat to 20% has meant the costs of all inputs to manufature our stone fountain range have all gone up. In most cases this has risen by more than the actual vat increase because of the increased cost of fuel needed to deliver those inputs to wholesalers, for example white cement which which last year was around the £7.00 per bag mark has risen this year to £8.00 per bag, this represents a 14% increase.
To combat these price rises we have endevoured to buy materials in larger quantities to get the best prices, in doing so we have managed to keep our production costs down to last years levels.

The same factors are at play in the delivery of our finished fountains and water features, our main carrier is currently running a 14% fuel sercharge alongside the increase in vat.
We will try to hold our prices to last years levels for as long as we can in the hope that the price of fuel reduces in the coming months, it may be that some of our smaller fountains and water features will see a small price increase later in the year to cover some of the current increases.

Shipping to all uk mainland destinations is still and will remain free, the prices quoted for each water feature or fountain is the price you pay, we do not add shipping to the price.
